TATTVA 2007
TATTVA, the alumni
achievement award contest was conducted in the TAPMI auditorium on 19th
October 2007. This year we had as many as five participants. Manoj
Subramanian (Batch of 1994) presented in great detail, his contribution to
the company Centillium’s strategy regarding fringe benefit tax. Bina
Soundarajan (Batch of 1990) cautioned the young audience on entrepreneurial
pitfalls with start-ups. Vishnu Tunuguntla (Batch of 1988) explained the
fine points of Sarbanes Soxley act in the context of a project he had done
for a large bank. Nikhil Sharma (Batch of 1999) made a great audio-visual
presentation on his role in the “The Big Babol Turnaround”. Nachiket
Paratkar (Batch of 2000) stole the show and won the cash award first prize
with a fine exposition on an e-learning business he had founded with some
friends. The runner-up prize went to Vishnu Tunuguntla.
The in house judges were A. V. Rajagopalan, a
learned Sanskrit scholar and chartered accountant and Prof. Vasudev Rao, who
is dean of administration and has years of experience with entreprenurship
and project management. The external judge was Mrs Inamdar from MIC, Manipal.
DVD recordings on three CDs are available on
request. I encourage all alumni to learn more about this event through the
video clip or by ordering the CDs and participate in this event in future
years.
