General Information
TAPMI offers a full
time two year post graduate diploma in management. The program is
fully residential. Twenty three batches have successfully completed
the program and currently hold positions of responsibility and
authority in the industry. A significant number of them are working
overseas.
The post graduate
program (PGP) offered by TAPMI has evolved through a continuous
interaction of the institute with the industry and academia.
Structured thematically, it has a high degree of relevance and
appropriateness in the current context of globalization and
competition.
TAPMI emphasizes on
practice and experiential learning, which make it a unique
experience for students. TAPMI faculty is a mixture of academic
excellence and industry practice with about 70% having Doctoral
qualification.
TAPMI has been
attracting bright, young talent with diverse backgrounds who are
desirous of a career in management. Students come from various
disciplines such as engineering, commerce, arts, science, law,
pharmacy, medicine and so on from all parts of the country. And
there is also a right blend of experience and youth creating an
ideal platform for creativity and maturity.
TAPMI is located in
Manipal, an international university town having more than 15000
students from across the globe pursuing education in Medicine,
Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Journalism and
Management. The ambience at Manipal is vibrant, cosmopolitan and
intellectually stimulating.
Admissions Eligibility
A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline,
recognised by the AIU as eligible for Post Graduation, with not less
than 50% overall aggregate marks. This applies to also those with
professional qualifications like Chartered Accountancy, Cost
Accounting and Company Secretary. Candidates appearing for final
year degree examination may also apply. However such candidates, if
selected by TAPMI, are required to produce proof of completion of
graduation by the time they join the PGP program and their passing
certificates and testimonials within the stipulated date
thereafter.
Admissions
Process
TAPMI has adopted a
two stage process for admitting candidates to the PGP. Valid CAT/
GMAT scores are mandatory pre-requisites to qualify for the
admission process. Based on scores in CAT / GMAT and academic
excellence, work experience, extra curriculars and clarity of
purpose candidates are short-listed and invited to participate in
the subsequent TAPMI Admissions Process (GD/PI) held at Manipal. CAT
is used only for short-listing. IIM has no role in the selection
process or conduct of the PGDM programme. Final Selection will be
based on performance in the TAPMI Admissions Process.

of Information for Admissions containing the Application Form is
made available at select branches of AXIS(UTI) Bank, the Admissions Office of TAPMI in Manipal, TAPMI
Centre for Executive Education in Bangalore and select centers of
IMS Learning Center, Career Launcher, Career Forum, Professional Tutorials.,
TIME Education and Erudite Educational Center. Applications may also
be completed and submitted online at www.tapmi.org
The Application
Forms will be made available only after the notification for the CAT
exams.
Financials
The Academic Fee
payable by admitted students for the 2-year PGDM programme of
2008-2010 will be Rs. 6,46,000/- (inclusive of Textbook Fee). Hostel
Fee will be approximately Rs. 1,10,000/- for the two-year period
(double occupancy). Monthly Food Bill will be approximately Rs.
1,800/-.

Campus Update
TAPMI will soon move into a modern and high-tech campus located on a
small hillock overlooking a picturesque valley. The new campus
offers the best of facilities that includes residential (hostel)
facilities for 300 students. |
