Prof. A. Sivakumar is a graduate in agriculture and a Post Graduate in Business Management. Prior to joining TAPMI he worked for about two years in an ICAR organisation. He is a regular guest columnist in Retail Biz - the retail sector magazine - of the Economic Times. He is on the Board of the Association of International Business India Chapter and a member of the Indian Society Of Agribusiness Professionals. He was awarded Ph.D. in Agribusiness Marketing by Karnatak University, Dharwad. He has been identified as one of the External Examiners for Thesis Evaluation for MBA program of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University

His interests are in the areas of retail management, written communication, international agribusiness and marketing management.
