Recognized as guide for MPhil program in Library and Information Science by Alagappa University Karaikudi, Annamalai University, Madurai-Directorate of distance education Program. One student is awarded with Mphil degree and Four have submitted their dissertations. Currently four candidates are pursuing their Mphil degree under my guidance.

Regular contributor of Bibliography for Vikalpa-Journal of Decision Makers – a highly reputed refereed journal in Management published by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. It is a quarterly  journal and my bibliographies on select management topics are published in it for the past three years. so far 14 subject bibliographies have been published in Vikalpa. 

One of the Reviewers for the publication in Annals of Library & Information Studies- a leading cited journal in Library and Information Science field published by NISCAIR (formarly INSDOC), New Delhi.

Invited by Library and Information Science  associations to write articles for festschrift volumes.

(July 2007): recognised as Research Guide for MPhil programme in Library and information science field of Annamalai University, Madurai-Directorate of Distance Education. 

(July 2007): Mr. Muralidhara, Mr. nagesh, Mr. Rajashekhariah and Mrs. Jayanthi, the MPhil Students  under his guidance submitted their MPhil dissertation to Alagappa University, Karaikudi. The result is awaited.  

(Feb13, 2007): Invited for a presentation/talk on library utilisation and resources during a workshop on Research Management organised by National Institute of Technology, Surathkal (NITK) at Surathkal.  

(December 20,2006): Mr. Ganapathy Bhat, Librarian, SMS college Bramavar has been successfully completed and awarded MPhil degree from Alagappa University, Karaikudi under his guidance.

(September 18-20, 2006): Received BEST PAPER Award for his paper “Impact of Technology on Library Services: A Study from Customers’ Perspectives” presented at VIII MANLIBNET Convention organised by Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad during Sept 18 to 20, 2006 at Ahmedabad.

(September 18-20, 2006): selected as rapporteur general during VIII MANLIBNET convention. Also discussed with participants regarding the formation of consortia of management libraries for effective resource sharing.

(August 2006) Reviewed for one article submitted for publication in Annals of Library & Information Studies- a leading cited journal in LIS field published by NISCAIR, New Delhi.

(March 2006):  Invited by Nitte Institute of Management, Nitte for design and layout of new library building, which is under construction.

(Jan 2006): Received BEST PAPER Award for his paper “Access  to Digital Resources through CD Networking: An Experiment with CD Server Technology” presented at PSG Institute of Management Coimbotore, on Jan 27-28,2006 at Coimbotore.

(2005): Invited as speaker for " Professor K.S. Umapathy Endowment Lecture on Library Services" on sept.4,2005 Gokhale Institute for Public Affairs, Bangalore at Bangalore

(2005): Invited as member of expert committee for the selection of Librarian to Poornaprajna  Institute of Management, at PPC campus on September 18, 2005. Udupi.  

(2005): Recognized as guide for MPhil program in Library and Information Science of by  Alagappa University Karaikudi-Directorate of distance education Program. The university has study centre at Crossland Institute of Continuing Education, Crossland College, Brahmavar. Currently two Mphil students have registered under my guidance (Librarian, SMS college Bramhavar, Librarian, Crossland Bramhavar) and one more student (Librarian, KIAMS, Harihar) has submitted his application for my guidance.

(2005)Became life member of Academy of Information Science Operated from CFTRI, Mysore.

(2004) Reviewed for two articles submitted for publication in Annals of Library & Information Studies- a leading cited journal in LIS field published by NISCAIR, New Delhi.

(2004): Invited as resource person on December 3, 2004 for the two day workshop on digital resources and knowledge management organised by Canbank Institute of Management, Bangalore University, Bangalore. My topic was service quality in Libraries.

(2004) Selected for Peer review of articles submitted for publication in Annals of Library & Information Studies. During this year five papers have been sent for peer review

(2003) Invited by Cochin University, Cochin as the member of selection committee for career promotion of selection grade Asst. Librarians on 16th October, 2003. 

(2003) Invited as resource person for the two day UGC sponsored workshop on Quality services in library services organised by Dept. of library and Information Science, Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram on 19^th November 2003.

(2003) Invited by AICTE, New Delhi on October 17,2003 for project proposal on establishment of South India Libraries Network at AICTE Head quarters at New Delhi. TAPMI had submitted a research proposal to establish SILNET under AICTE sponsorship.
