Director's Message

Welcome to TAPMI. Let me share with you some of my own thoughts, apart from what you will find in these pages.

Over the past several years TAPMI has earned a reputation for its progress and programmes. Our faculty with their qualifications, competencies and dedication are considered our major strength. It is thus no surprise that our programmes are among the most sought after in the country. We have continuously improved our programmes through innovative curriculum design, pedagogical methods and good infrastructural facilities.

Among the significant innovations in the programmes has been Management-in-Practice (MIP), which has proved to be a great learning experience to students as well as faculty. MIP won a prestigious award for Best Innovation in Management Teaching from AIMS.

You will be happy to know that our students have received the Best Management Student Award consecutively for two years in nationwide contests. There have been other awards won by students for the Best Paper Presentation and the Best Summer Projects.

During the last four years, TAPMI's, faculty too have been winning awards consistently. They include Best Teacher of the Year, Best Young Teacher (for two years), Best Research Paper, Best Case Writing and so on.

TAPMI is one of the very few business schools in the country today that have the distinction of receiving two highest accreditations with Five Stars by NAAC and A grade from NBA (AICTE). All these accomplishments have culminated into TAPMI having been adjudged "The Best Management Institute of the Year" at the Indian HRD Congress, Mumbai in January 2002.

The infrastructure and facilities of TAPMI are among the best that only a few institutes can boast about, be it computers, Internet access, residential facilities, library, classrooms or general ambience. You will be happy to note a, few aspects of TAPMI's internal organization, systems and people: Faculty and Staff alike are always willing to lend a helping hand to students in need and everyone in the Institute is easily approachable.

In fact, the Institute prides itself of the informal atmosphere prevailing in the campus. The systems and procedures are simple and student friendly so as to enable them to solve their problems quickly. You will have not only the best possible management education but also the best of environment that you would like to. spend your two years for gaining competence and equipping yourself to face challenges in your career and life.
